Job summary
MiniMed is seeking an engineering lead for our Northridge, CA production line. You will guide process development, validations, and capacity expansion while championing continuous improvement to ensure safety, quality, and performance.
The role collaborates across Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing Engineering to support new product introductions, commercial launches, and manufacturing scale-up.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience, or Advanced degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5+ years.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing, process validation, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with cause analysis, statistical methods, and manufacturing process optimization.
- Able and willing to travel for business 25-40% of the time depending on project needs
Responsibilities
- Design manufacturing processes, layouts, and production procedures.
- Lead process validations and equipment qualifications.
- Drive continuous improvement for yield, efficiency, and OEE.
- Support new product introductions and technology transfer.
- Mentor manufacturing engineers and technicians
