Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead exploration of new technologies and estimate tooling, part cost, and design time.
• Technology investigations, design, testing/validation, prototyping and supporting technology transfer to product development teams.
• Explores new technologies, features and functions, understand and outline challenges and risks.
• Master CAD-user: complete complex mechanical designs (SolidWorks/Onshape) and assess feasibility.
• Review CAD assemblies for technical feasibility and apply experience to risky items.
• Apply extensive technical expertise and analysis to all assigned projects.
• Develop or customize test methods to validate material behavior under extreme conditions.
• Lead design reviews and propose process improvements; coordinate with production and suppliers.
• May lead major explorations or multi-module projects; travel as required.
