Job summary

Fluidstack seeks a lead engineer to own the facilities telemetry platform, unifying sensor, meter, and controller data into a single queryable system. You will architect ingestion, storage, and APIs used by operations, ML, and controls teams, while enforcing data standards and edge quality.

You will lead a small team, tackle the toughest technical challenges, and leverage expertise in BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, with experience in Timescale, InfluxDB, or ClickHouse.

Qualifications

• Experience building or leading time-series or telemetry platforms at industrial or fleet scale.
• Designed ingestion that survived messy field protocols: BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA.
• Set data standards that stuck across teams and sites.
• Platforms have SLAs and the operational maturity to hit them.
• Lead from the front of the codebase.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facilities telemetry platform architecture: ingestion, time-series storage, and APIs.
• Own the data standards: naming, units, quality enforced at the edge.
• Lead a small team while handling the hardest technical pieces yourself.
