Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company in Glenview, IL seeks a Technical Lead to drive innovation across our Taste Elevation platform. You will provide hands-on technical leadership, guide prototype to scale-up, and mentor junior scientists while collaborating with cross-functional teams to accelerate product development and market launches.

You will lead agile approaches, manage complex workflows with internal and external partners, and shape IP strategies to deliver advantaged food and packaging solutions.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Packaging Engineering / Science, Materials Engineering, Food Science, Food Engineering, Consumer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s or 7 years with Master’s or 6 years with PhD
• Extensive experience commercializing products end-to-end in the food or consumer products industry
• Strong collaboration skills to influence stakeholders and evolve processes
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, learning-focused environments and mentor junior scientists

Responsibilities

• Translate fuzzy ideas into technical plans and develop testable hypotheses
• Lead product/pack/process development from early prototyping to scalable plant trials
• Lead rapid experimentation to validate assumptions and refine product features
• Provide guidance to scale up products from bench to plant trials for test markets
• Mentor teammates on technical skills and agile practices
• Influence partners in Procurement, Legal, Quality and Operations to evolve ways of working
