Job summary

Garmin International seeks a Technical Lead Software Engineer for our Tulsa, OK office. You will be a key technical contributor and/or Lead Software Engineer driving major product and application development using embedded sonar technologies.

Responsibilities include leading software design, mentoring engineers, collaborating with vendors, and evaluating new technologies to push Garmin's sonar capabilities forward in new markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field and extensive relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience as lead software engineer for new markets or technologies.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience architecting solutions across multiple groups or disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop sonar technology solutions for embedded platforms.
• Lead software engineering on major projects and coordinate designs.
• Define software requirements and designs per Garmin’s methodology.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide technical teams.
• Collaborate with vendors to integrate externally developed deliverables.
• Evaluate new technologies and propose improvements.
• Solve complex technical problems with creativity and rigor.
