RBC Capital Markets, LLC is seeking a Development Lead in Jersey City, NJ to design and implement low-latency financial applications using JAVA J2EE, ReactJS/Angular UI, and Python tooling. The role includes leading a developer team, coordinating releases, and ensuring code quality with CI/CD and monitoring.

Strong experience across RDBMS, Docker, Kubernetes, and enterprise frameworks is required. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, offering a base salary of $189,592 per year plus

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.
• Design and development of low latency applications for financial services using JAVA J2EE, including web services, microservices, JPA, Spring, Spring Security & Cloud, JUnit, JMeter, Mockito.
• UI frameworks: ReactJS, Angular, JavaScript, NodeJS for enterprise UI.
• DevOps: Jenkins, Bladelogic, Helios, Artifactory.
• RDBMS: Sybase ASE/IQ, SQL Server, Postgres.
• Docker containerization and Kubernetes load balancing.
• Application logging/monitoring: ITRS, Grafana, Kibana.
• Job schedulers: Control-M, Airflow, Spring schedulers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions across regulatory/transformation projects.
• Lead and manage team of developers to deliver large-scale applications.
• Plan and coordinate application releases using ServiceNow approvals.
• Review code for standards and timesheets.
• Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements and design feasibility.
• Participate in agile sprint planning and status updates for working groups.
