Artifintech in Austin seeks a Lead Developer to bridge forward-deployed engineers and offshore teams. You translate high-level architectural direction and product requirements into detailed technical work while upholding Charter engineering standards.

This hands-on leadership role blends coding (Python with FastAPI/Flask) and technical ownership, with emphasis on API design, reviews, and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated technical leadership of a development team.
• Strong backend Python expertise with FastAPI/Flask.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and OpenAPI specs.
• Ability to coordinate across offshore teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Translate FDE decisions and product requirements into detailed specs for offshore delivery.
• Serve as escalation point for offshore developers on blockers.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and bridge time zone gaps with asynchronous docs.
• Coordinate with FDE on priorities and technical direction for offshore team.
• Own day-to-day technical decisions, architecture alignment, and production readiness.
• Lead code reviews, enforce Charter coding standards, and manage API design.
• Maintain visibility of technical debt and plan engineering time to address it.
• Lead incident responses, root-cause analysis, and durable fixes.
• Ensure operational health: monitoring, alerting, on-call readiness, runbooks.
• Drive release readiness and post-release outcomes with Product Owner and customers.
