Job summary

Request Technology, LLC is seeking a Senior Technical Lead Architecture to drive enterprise risk delivery modernization. The role requires extensive software engineering and architecture leadership in regulated environments with AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, Java, Python, and GenAI integration.

You will influence architectural decisions, lead design of microservices and APIs, and ensure secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions across AWS/Azure/GCP. Strong SDLC and DevOps experience are essential.

Qualifications

Senior Technical Lead Architecture - Enterprise Risk Delivery Modernization

SALARY: $210,000 to $230,000

LOCATION: McLean, VA – 5 days in office

6 weeks remote days a year

Came up through development then got into architecture

Someone who also works in the data space, data warehouse data lakes

They must have AWS

They must have the GenAI

They must come from a highly regulated environment

Looking for a technical lead architect over enterprise risk delivery. Financial risk technology innovation and modernization including transformation. Deep experience in software engineering architecture, microservices, APIs, 12 factors Kubernetes, Kafka, Java, Python, AWS Azure GCP. AWS preferred. Experience with building GenAI and AI solutions CICD devops agile. Must come from a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree

10+ years of software engineering experience, including hands‑on experience with modern frameworks and technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Kafka, Angular, Java, Python)

8+ years in a senior architectural or technical leadership role.

This is a director level role as a single contributor.

Deep experience in solution architecture, microservices, APIs, integration patterns, security best practices, micro-front ends, 12 factors, etc.

Proven track record of designing and deploying scalable, cloud-native solutions within AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS is preferred).

Experience with building GenAI and AI solutions

Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies.

3+ years of relevant large-scale enterprise transformation experience as relates to architecture preferred.
