Job summary

PPG’s GCSS team seeks a Technical Lead for GCSS - Aerospace, Capabilities to lead design, development and technical oversight of custom software solutions. You will guide Agile teams, review code, promote best practices, and collaborate with global teams across time zones.

You will mentor teams in architecture, patterns, and AI-assisted development, while driving observability, security, and scalable design within enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software analysis, design, development, and implementation using .NET/C#, including at least 2 years in a Technical Lead or equivalent leadership role
• Experience with ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, and database design
• Experience developing web applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and JavaScript
• Experience with Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical implementation of custom software solutions, incorporating AI-assisted design and development practices.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Present and defend technical designs at Architecture Review Boards (ARB) and influence key technical decisions.
• Act as a SME and drive the adoption of AI, cloud-native, and data-driven solutions.
• Review code and technical designs to ensure quality and validation of AI-generated code.
• Guide and mentor development teams on architecture, design patterns, coding practices, and technical excellence.
• Promote SDLC best practices and AI-enabled development tools.
• Identify, assess, and resolve complex technical issues and risks.
• Drive observability with logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing.
