Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. is seeking a Technical Lead for GCSS – Aerospace to guide the design, development, and technical oversight of custom software solutions. You will lead Agile teams, review code, mentor staff, and promote best practices across the SDLC, including AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software analysis, design, development, and implementation using .NET/C#.
• 2+ years in a Technical Lead or equivalent leadership role.
• Experience with ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, EF Core, and database design.
• Experience building web apps with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Azure, App Services, Functions, Storage, and Application Insights.
• Azure cloud-native services and architectures.
• CI/CD pipelines, source control, and DevOps with Azure DevOps.
• Authentication: Azure AD, OAuth 2.0, JWT; secure, scalable design.
• Experience in monitoring, logging, telemetry, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and technical implementation of custom software solutions, with AI-assisted practices.
• Collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, and stakeholders to align tech with business goals.
• Present and defend designs at ARB and influence key decisions.
• Act as SME to drive AI adoption, cloud-native, and data-driven solutions.
• Review code and designs to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Mentor development teams on architecture, patterns, and coding practices.
• Promote SDLC improvements and AI-enabled development tools.
• Identify and resolve complex technical risks and dependencies.
• Drive observability: logging, monitoring, metrics, tracing across services.
• Contribute to backlog refinement, estimations, and technical planning.
