Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Software Engineer, or Senior Software Engineer with technical leadership responsibilities.
• Hands-on development experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience designing and delivering production applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of modern application architecture, APIs, cloud services, and distributed systems.
• Experience coordinating engineers across multiple locations/time zones.
• Ability to balance hands-on engineering with leadership and coordination.
• Strong code review, debugging, architecture, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with product, delivery, and business stakeholders.
• Strong communication and ability to provide clear technical direction to distributed teams.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for engineering teams across Los Angeles, Mexico, and India.
• Own technical direction, architecture decisions, engineering standards, and implementation strategy.
• Remain hands-on with development using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Design and build scalable applications and services within Microsoft Azure.
• Lead technical design discussions and translate business and product requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Review code, provide technical guidance, and help engineers solve complex development challenges.
• Coordinate development across distributed teams and ensure alignment on priorities, architecture, standards, and delivery expectations.
• Partner closely with product, delivery, client stakeholders, and other engineering leaders.
• Identify technical risks and dependencies early and drive them to resolution.
• Improve engineering practices around code quality, testing, deployment, observability, and maintainability.
• Promote the effective use of AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
• Help identify opportunities to incorporate AI capabilities into applications, workflows, and internal engineering processes.
• Mentor engineers and raise the overall technical capability of the team.
