As Tech Lead, you'll have significant ownership from day one - leading a team of engineers, driving architecture and technical decisions, and working directly with the CTO/CEO.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and mentor a team of 4+ engineers
• Own architectural and technical decisions for highly scalable, latency-critical systems
• Drive engineering best practices, processes, and team execution
• Prioritize technical work around business objectives
• Stay hands-on and contribute ~20-30% of your time to the codebase
• Help scale the engineering organization as the company grows
• Build systems capable of handling millions of voice calls per month while maintaining sub-second latency

What we're looking for

• Recent Staff Engineer / Technical Lead / Team Lead experience with strong technical ownership
• Deep expertise in backend, cloud engineering, and distributed systems
• Experience building products at meaningful scale with demanding reliability, performance, or real-time requirements
• Proven ability to make architectural decisions and influence how engineering teams operate
• Passion for mentoring and leading engineers while remaining hands-on

Nice to have: Conversational AI / Voice AI experience and frontend development experience.
