Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Technical Lead for Real Estate Capital Originations Technology to lead REC Originations applications and integrations for KeyBanks commercial real estate lending business.

This onsite contract-to-hire role in Brooklyn, OH offers exposure to modern technologies, mentorship, and opportunities to drive architecture standards, scalable solutions, and team guidance through complex challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in application development, systems integration, or software engineering.
• At least 3 years leading technical teams or large-scale initiatives.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise applications in complex environments.
• Proficiency in .NET/C#, REST APIs, SOA, SQL, relational databases, integrations, and middleware.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Git, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of cloud and SaaS architectures, the software development lifecycle, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Preferred: Moodys CreditLens or similar commercial credit platforms; CRE origination, underwriting, credit approval, or portfolio management.
• Preferred: Integration of third-party SaaS platforms with enterprise apps; enterprise data integration, cloud platforms, modern API architectures; regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Preferred: Architecture or advanced technical certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy and architecture for REC Originations applications and integrations.
• Design secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions for commercial real estate lending processes.
• Define architecture standards, integration patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Assess emerging technologies to reduce technical debt and improve efficiency.
• Drive modernization and transformation across SaaS and cloud platforms.
• Lead development, enhancement, implementation, and support across the REC ecosystem.
• Work with product owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Review and approve designs, code, deployment plans, and implementation strategies.
• Set coding standards, testing strategies, CI/CD practices, and security requirements.
• Contribute to design reviews, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for Moodys CreditLens and supporting REC applications.
• Support integrations with internal lending, workflow, document, and data platforms.
• Enable solutions for deal intake, underwriting, spreading, approvals, covenant tracking, and portfolio management.
• Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and guide teams through complex technical challenges.
• Establish standards for performance, availability, resilience, and monitoring.
• Encourage Agile delivery and continuous improvement.

Requirements
