Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Technical Lead to join the Real Estate Capital Originations Technology team, supporting KeyBank’s CRE lending business in Brooklyn, OH. The role focuses on leading solution architecture, guiding engineering teams, and delivering secure, scalable platforms that improve operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in .NET/C#, REST APIs, SQL, CI/CD, cloud/SaaS architectures, and a proven ability to drive modernization and transformation initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field.
• 8 years of application development, systems integration, or software engineering.
• 3 years in technical leadership of teams or large-scale initiatives.
• Enterprise app design and support in complex environments.
• Proficiency in .NET/C#, REST APIs, and service-oriented architectures.
• SQL and relational databases, integrations, and middleware technologies.
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Git, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar.
• Cloud and SaaS application architectures.
• Strong SDLC knowledge and Agile methodologies.
• Effective problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy and architecture for REC Originations applications and integrations.
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions for CRE lending processes.
• Define architecture standards, integration patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to reduce technical debt and enhance efficiency.
• Drive modernization and transformation initiatives across SaaS and cloud platforms.
• Lead development, enhancement, implementation, and support within the REC ecosystem.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with product owners and stakeholders.
• Review and approve designs, code, deployment plans, and implementation strategies.
• Establish coding standards, testing strategies, CI/CD practices, and security requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support.
• Serve as SME for Moody’s CreditLens and supporting REC applications.
• Support integrations with internal lending, workflow, document, and data platforms.
• Enable deal intake, underwriting, spreading, approvals, covenant tracking, and portfolio management solutions.
• Mentor developers and foster continuous learning and engineering excellence.
• Conduct code reviews and guide project teams through complex technical issues.
• Establish performance, availability, resiliency, and monitoring standards.
• Promote Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement.
