Job description

Join a collaborative technology team supporting commercial real estate lending with a focus on modern application architecture, integrations, and continuous improvement. This Technical Lead role offers the opportunity to guide solution design, strengthen engineering practices, and help deliver reliable systems that support critical lending operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction for applications and integrations that support commercial real estate lending workflows.
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with business goals and enterprise standards.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, engineers, and vendors to translate needs into effective technical solutions.
• Review technical designs, code, deployment approaches, and implementation plans to support quality delivery.
• Guide development, enhancement, implementation, and support efforts across the application ecosystem.
• Support integrations between underwriting, workflow, document, and data platforms, including third-party SaaS tools.
• Establish and promote coding standards, testing practices, CI/CD approaches, and security expectations.
• Provide hands‑on troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and performance optimization support for production systems.
• Mentor developers and help foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and engineering excellence.
• Support reliability, monitoring, availability, and resiliency for mission‑critical applications.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in application development, systems integration, or software engineering.
• 3+ years of experience providing technical leadership for development teams or major technology initiatives.
• Strong background in .NET / C# development.
• Experience with REST APIs and service‑oriented architectures.
• Solid SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Experience with system integrations and middleware technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud and SaaS application architectures.
• Experience using Git, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar toolsets.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in commercial lending or commercial real estate lending technology.
• Exposure to Moody’s CreditLens or similar commercial credit underwriting platforms.
• Knowledge of commercial real estate origination, underwriting, credit approval, and portfolio management processes.
• Experience integrating third‑party SaaS platforms with enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with enterprise data integration and modern API architecture.
• Understanding of regulatory, risk, and compliance needs within financial services.
• Technical architecture certification or other advanced technical credentials.

The pay range for this role is $37 - $70 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
