Job summary

Avita Health System in Bucyrus, OH is seeking a dedicated Technical Lab Assistant (TLA) for the Bucyrus Laboratory Department. Under supervision of the Laboratory Director, you will maintain equipment, assist with clerical duties, and support technicians while performing phlebotomy and CLIA-waived testing to deliver quality results.

We're currently seeking a dedicated Technical Lab Assistant (TLA) to join our LaboratoryDepartment at our Bucyruslocation.

Position Overview

Under supervision of the Laboratory Director or designee, maintains laboratory equipment as necessary, assists in clerical duties of the department, assists technicians and technologists as needed, and is responsible for phlebotomy procedures and processing of other specimens. Additionally, laboratory assistants perform CLIA-waived testing while producing quality results.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least two (2) years of full time experience in a hospital laboratory setting with phlebotomy experience.
• Adheres to regulatory requirements including all State, Federal and the accrediting body regulations.

Preferred:

• Previous experience working as a Phlebotomist.
• Graduate of a Certified Phlebotomy program.
• Medical Terminology
