Broadleaf Services is seeking a Technical Instructor to support a government customer by delivering hands-on and classroom-based training for IT field support personnel. This is an on-site position based in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in systems administration, network operations, and help desk support, along with a passion for coaching and developing others.
- Deliver instructor-led training in one or more subject areas aligned with organizational and client objectives.
- Design and prepare instructional materials in accordance with course requirements and learning outcomes.
- Instruct students using a variety of teaching techniques including lectures, group discussions, individual coaching, hands-on demonstrations, seminars, and workshops.
- Develop or select appropriate teaching aids, such as charts, handbooks, multimedia content, and simulation tools.
- Supervise practical work, offering guidance and support where needed to ensure student understanding and skill development.
- Evaluate student performance through tests, assessments, and hands-on exercises.
- Compile and maintain detailed records and assessment reports on student progress and instructional effectiveness.
- Coordinate opportunities for students to engage in real-world training experiences when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a technical instructor or similar instructional role.
- Experience designing and delivering instructional content for adult learners.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt instructional techniques to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Familiarity with instructional technology and media tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field preferred.
