Job summary

Radial Solutions Inc. seeks a Technical Inspector/Aircraft Mechanic III to support the Army Ranger School program at Fort Benning. The role requires engine/APU troubleshooting, interpretation of manuals, and entry of maintenance data.

Responsibilities include inspections, testing, and ensuring compliance with government specifications, records management, and reporting MEC/PQDR as needed. A&P cert is required; HS diploma or GED; 5+ years in H60 QC preferred.

Qualifications

  • Five years quality control experience on the MDS H60 series.
  • Minimum of two years of documented training on the MDS H60 series systems.
  • Must possess a valid A&P certificate.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of military publications (including electronic manuals), drawings, blueprints, microfilm, diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate problems by interpreting technical documentation such as Aircraft Technical Manuals, Maintenance Information and Action Messages and all technical guidance provided through government official representatives.
  • Uses a working knowledge of technical publications and the Government STAMIS to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
  • Reads and interprets manufacturers' and Army maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Monitor operations to ensure that they meet publication standards.
  • Recommend adjustments to the assembly or productions process.
  • Inspect, test, or measure products with calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
  • Operate electronic inspections equipment and software.
  • Accept or reject completed tasks.
  • Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
  • Report inspection and test data such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quantities inspected.
  • Submit Maintenance Engineering Calls (MEC) and Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR).
  • Review publications for changes.
  • Review and update aircraft historical records.
  • Comply with Safety Messages (ASAM, AMAM, SOF, and MIM) and update Air Worthiness Releases (AWR).
  • Core competencies include: Communication, technical skills, UH-60 experience, documentation

RSi is looking to fill a Technical Inspector/Aircraft Mechanic III position at Fort Benning, GA, to support our Army customer on the Ft. Moore Aviation and Maintenance Logistics contract for the Army Ranger School. Technical Inspector/Aircraft Mechanic III ensures troubleshooting of aircraft engines and auxiliary power units is performed in accordance with publications.

Summary of duties include but are not limited to:

Required Minimum Education/Experience/Certifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Environmentally controlled, heated and cooled shop area subject to machinery noise
Physical Environment/Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
  • Will be required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable position
  • Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds
  • Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds
  • Most heavy lifting is accomplished through the use of mechanical devices
