Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle seeks a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to coordinate internet capacity provisioning and related activities across cross-functional projects.

You will help drive stability and sustainability of next-generation IP networks while ensuring delivery on time and on budget. Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software).
  • Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds.

Responsibilities

  • Working directly with technical business development peers
  • Develop trust-based relationships with deployment key stakeholders
  • Work with local and regional teams to lead deployments at order and circuit level physical provisioning, coordinating logical provisioning to move circuits to operational
  • Identify operational inefficiencies, improve processes, automate tasks and partner with cross functional teams to develop new solutions
  • Maintain order level visibility and ownership to go live
  • Generating actionable insights and workflow change through the use of metrics, dashboards and deep live analysis
  • Owns end to end external peering communication during the lifecycle of provisioning and/or related activities, managing and following up with external providers as required to meet customer SLAs
  • Holds key customers meetings to manage expectations and prioritize key deployment orders updates to customers and stakeholders with a focus on priority orders
  • Holds key partner meetings with required data center or business development teams to ensure SLAs are met across the process

The AWS GCNA (Global Connectivity and Network) Internet Edge team is looking for a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to support internet capacity provisioning and related activities across cross-functional projects. Your work will play a key role in driving the stability and sustainability of next-generation IP networks, delivering capacity ahead of demand.

Key job responsibilities
  • Working directly with technical business development peers

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
  • Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with layer 1 and layer 2 network protocols and effective troubleshooting across physical infrastructure. Understanding of TCP/IP and networking protocols. CCNA/JNCIA certified preferred

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
