Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Technical Information Specialist for its Knowledge Center, based on the Minneapolis campus. The role focuses on information resources, digital content management, and information systems that enable research, innovation, and business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information science, library science, information technology, business, or related fields with 1+ years of experience.
• Experience supporting information systems, digital content platforms, or business applications.
• Experience troubleshooting user access, authentication, or system issues.
• Experience managing multiple priorities with strong organizational skills.
• Experience communicating with customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support library systems, digital content platforms, and information resource technologies.
• Troubleshoot access issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams and vendors.
• Maintain SharePoint sites, intranet content, and information resource platforms.
• Manage journals, databases, eBooks, standards, and information resources; handle metadata, holdings, and records.
• Respond to employee inquiries and service requests related to information resources and access.
• Develop user documentation, guides, and training materials for information resources.
• Monitor service metrics and data for reporting and improvement.
• Support workflow enhancements, automation, testing, and projects to improve information access and UX.
