Job summary

Sportech in Elk River, MN, designs and manufactures cab components and systems for powersports, golf, turf, and industrial markets. The Technical Illustrator will create and update work instructions and installation guides, collaborating with engineers, designers, and safety experts to ensure clear, accurate documentation.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent, 1+ year in technical illustration or drafting, and familiarity with ERP/PDM systems and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with emphasis on technical writing.
• Minimum 1 year in technical illustrating, and/or drafting and 3D modeling.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience with ERP and PDM systems.
• Knowledge of Adobe tools is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Create and improve Work Instructions.
• Review and edit Work Instruction docs.
• Validate instructions with team members via audience analysis.
• Write and update product installation instructions.
• Process ECOs affecting publication documents.
• Follow standards for format, content, and terminology.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, legal, safety, and fellow illustrators.
• Maintain records of work and revisions.
• Support both digital and legacy print documents.
