Job summary

Sportech in Elk River, MN seeks a Technical Illustrator to design, develop, and write technical documentation for Sportech products. You will create, update, and modify work instructions for production processes and other technical communication needs.

You will collaborate with engineers, designers, safety experts, and others to ensure accuracy, maintain records, and support both digital and legacy print documentation. Associates degree and 1 year of related experience are required.

Qualifications

Associates degree or equivalent in Technical Illustration, Communication, or related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in technical illustrating, and/or drafting and 3D modeling.
Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

Continuously drives the creation and improvement of Work Instructions.
Reviews Work Instruction documentation, revisions, and edits as required.
Reviews Work Instructions with Team Members through audience analysis to ensure accuracy.
Write and update product installation instructions and related documents.
Complete Redlines and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) affecting documents.
Follow set standards regarding format, content, order, clarity, and terminology.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, safety experts, and other illustrators to develop clear documents.
Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
Support both digital and legacy print work instructions.
