Job summary

Sportech, Inc. in Elk River, MN, is hiring a Technical Illustrator to design, develop, and write technical documentation for Sportech products.

You will create and update work instructions for production processes and provide installation instructions and support materials throughout Sportech. The role requires at least 1 year of technical illustrating and drafting experience, with emphasis on 3D modeling and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent with emphasis on technical illustration, communication, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in technical illustrating, drafting and 3D modeling.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal communication with team members and supervisors.
• Experience with ERP and PDM systems.
• Experience with digital work instruction software.
• Ability to read engineering prints & schematics.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including assembly and fabrication.
• Adobe software experience is helpful but not required.
• SolidWorks Composer or Creo Illustrator experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and improve Work Instructions for production processes.
• Write and update product installation instructions and related documents.
• Review documentation for accuracy and consistency; apply ECOs.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, safety experts, and other illustrators.
• Maintain records of work and revisions; support digital and print docs.
