Job summary

Coreforce is seeking an experienced Technical Hardware Product Manager in Atlanta. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of rugged hardware for public-safety applications, including imaging and LPR systems, with a focus on reliability, real-time performance, and network connectivity.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and software groups to ensure seamless hardware-software integration, drive multi-year roadmaps, and engage customers to translate field feedback into

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management in hardware with 3+ years in imaging or sensor tech
  • Deep understanding of camera systems, optics, video compression (H.264/H.265), and edge video analytics
  • Strong knowledge of 4G/5G LTE, Wi‑Fi, GPS, and related wireless technologies
  • Experience designing hardware to be bolted into vehicles or used in extreme environments
  • Experience with field-deployed, ruggedized devices and OTA software/firmware updates
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10–20% to customer sites, labs and manufacturing partners

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute multi-year product strategies for communication hardware, in-vehicle video, and license plate recognition with a focus on reliability and real-time performance
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware products—from ideation through prototyping, field validation, regulatory compliance, and volume production
  • Drive detailed technical requirements for On-Vehicle applications, gateways, in-vehicle video systems, LPR cameras, and antennas
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, embedded software, and systems engineers to develop reliable, ruggedized solutions
  • Interface with software product teams to ensure integration between hardware, firmware, and cloud systems
  • Engage with customers, field users, and partners to translate real-world needs into product features
  • Support early deployments and pilots; triage and analyze field issues from hardware and connectivity perspectives
  • Develop clear requirements and lead discussions on imaging performance, low-light optimization, thermal management, onboard storage, and bandwidth
  • Guide choices on network standards (LTE/5G), fallback mechanisms, SIM/eSIM, and OTA updates
  • Ensure compliance with FCC, CE, PTCRB, MIL-STD-801H and relevant video surveillance standards
