Responsibilities

The Technical Field Advisor is responsible for providing technical support and recommendations to our customers regarding the operation, maintenance, and repair of power generation equipment.

Key Duties
  • Perform on‑site equipment assessments and inspections to identify issues, recommend repairs or upgrades, and ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Analyze equipment performance data and test results to diagnose technical problems and determine root causes of issues.
  • Develop detailed scopes of work, recommendations, and cost estimates for repairs or upgrades in coordination with the engineering team.
  • Provide training and advising to plant personnel on equipment operation, maintenance best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Liaise with our engineering department to resolve complex technical issues and coordinate warranty support as needed.
  • Document site visits, inspections, and work completed in the CRM/EAM system, and generate reports as required.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of OEM equipment specifications, designs, and common issues through ongoing training.
  • Travel regularly (50–75% of time) to customer plant locations throughout the United States.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a closely related technical field is preferred; however, candidates with 8+ years of experience in power generation plant equipment operations, maintenance, or service engineering will be considered in lieu of a degree.
