Coalfire is seeking a technically strong Consultant to join our FedRAMP Assessment team. You will review artifacts, code, and network diagrams, research vendor documentation, and validate control implementations for FedRAMP and related standards.

With mentoring from senior assessors, you will lead interviews, draft observations, and help clients improve their security posture while balancing delivery quality and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a technical IT role with ability to read artifacts in detail.
• Strong ability to interpret configuration files, logs, and system settings.
• Proactive self-starter who researches vendor docs to answer technical questions.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with assessors on federal compliance assessments (FedRAMP, NIST 800-171, FISMA).
• Review artifacts (configuration files, logs, dashboards) for evidence of control implementation.
• Evaluate IaC templates and CI/CD pipelines for secure baselines and change control.
• Use scripting to parse large artifact sets to support control testing.
• Lead technical walk-throughs and interviews with client engineers and system admins.
• Draft audit observations and review assessment reports.
