Job summary

Caixa Mágica Software is seeking a Technical Engineer for production support (level 3) to oversee infrastructure and application deployment in production. The role emphasizes DevOps practices, cloud adoption, and cross-team collaboration in a dynamic, international setting.

You will drive end-to-end project execution, govern budgets, and ensure production readiness across RUN THE BANK environments and related services, with a focus on security, reliability, and governance compliance.

Job description

Overview:

We are looking for a Technical Engineer for production support (level 3). Computer production includes activities related to infrastructure bases (servers, storage, network, middleware, etc.) and the implementation of applications in the production environment. To this end, the Application Production Support (APS) works with dedicated and transversal entities. The Business CBS of the APS need to strengthen its Project activity within the scope of the Business Line. The infrastructure Project Management performs the technical project management mission in direct contact with the BP2S Business Project Managers. It contributes to Business projects by implementing Technical Architecture solutions hosting Business applications and preparing the transition to Application Production. It coordinates the action of the technical entities and ensures the client relationship with the BP2S Business and its IT. The strong international context of the IT FUNDS business requires a standard English level to exchange and facilitate meetings with both technical and functional interlocutors. It contributes to the deployment in the business and production teams of new working tools and methods such as Devops/Agility/Move2Cloud. As we are during a transformation of working methods, the Production Project Manager will have to bring technical expertise (Linux, Websphere, Oracle, Autosys, CFT, Cloud, Ansible, Kubernetes) to be able to carry out top-level technical actions.

What will you do?
  • Cloud is an integral part of our architectures and particular attention will have to be paid to it.
  • Systematic integration into the scope of projects, the treatment of Obsolescence, the cost and implementation of any application and infrastructure decommissions, and the technical-application resilience.
  • Steering the different actors / contributors of its projects and steering the budget (Mendays).
  • Assurance of project reporting to APS/ADM Management.
  • Implementation and assurance of the governance of its projects (Business Validation Committees, Monitoring Committees, Steering Committees).
  • Ensure full autonomy of RUN THE BANK entities and Application Support for maintaining operational conditions.
  • He will share the covered perimeters with his colleagues to identify any identifiable adhesion or possible optimizations.
  • Set up operations in hours not worked and WE depending on the criticality of the projects.
  • Definition and validation of the SLA for the production support part and the KPI.
  • He will have to work in harmony with the FINOPS/Decommissioning Management/Obsolescence functions to ensure security and financial requirements are met and standards are maintained.
  • Ensure end-to-end responsibility for achieving the IT project’s objectives in line with the commitments made to the Business, while complying with the entity’s strategic priorities, IT governance processes, and the sponsor’s expectations.
  • Steer the entire IT project and coordinate all the people involved and contributors.
  • The go-to contact person for the It project.
  • Ensure the knowledge of IT Projects Governance in the Group and their correct application to the project context.
  • Global knowledge of IT, its major processes, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to anticipate, plan and roll out a project, from end-to-end, with respect to time and resource constraints (both budget and people), with internal or external people, to reach the defined goal.
  • Ability to define and apply a project methodology.
  • Ability to anticipate and handle risks associated with the project.
  • Ability to understand business needs and convert them into IT requirements.
What are we looking for?
  • Monitoring & observability.
  • Experience in monitoring tools - such as Dynatrace.
  • DevOps (Stack) & CI/CD. Facilitates coordination between development, QA and operations; reduces lead time and risk.
  • Understanding of Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Cloud Platforms. Most new solutions are hosted on AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Cloud fundamentals certification (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals) or demonstrable cloud project experience including DMZRasCode.
  • Legacy tools: knowledge in Websphere, Autosys, CFT file transfer.
  • English - Fluent.
  • Effective Communication: Possess strong communication skills, including active listening, assertiveness, and written skills, to convey ideas and collaborate with others.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with others, respecting cultural differences, and valuing teamwork to achieve common goals.
