Job summary

Core4ce seeks a highly experienced Technical Engineer to drive integration of scientific, software development, and cloud efforts in an AWS enterprise environment. You will coordinate across scientists, software developers, and cloud engineers to turn research into production-ready code and containers, while ensuring plans, tests, and metrics are in place for informed leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 13 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s with 15 years of relevant experience.
• Active TS-SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly.
• Experience coordinating technical projects across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Understanding of software development and cloud engineering concepts with ability to coordinate transition of algorithms into code, containers, and cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS or enterprise cloud environments and testing/documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities across scientific, software, and cloud engineering teams to advance research and experimental capabilities.
• Translate research concepts into software requirements, development activities, and deployable capabilities.
• Facilitate progression of scientific algorithms from concepts to code, containers, and deployment within AWS.
• Plan, track, and report progress across complex technical projects with multiple dependencies.
• Develop and maintain technical plans, test plans, schedules, documentation, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate testing and evaluation activities and assess progress and performance.
• Identify dependencies, risks, gaps, and issues across activities and facilitate resolution.
• Support transition of successful research efforts into operational environments.
• Coordinate technical exchange meetings and reviews to facilitate collaboration and decisions.
• Prepare briefings and status reports for government leadership and stakeholders.
