Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Technical Engineer to support civil engineering projects, including planning airstrips, docks, roads, and buildings. You’ll learn surveying, drafting, and construction-plan development during training and apply these skills to real-world sites.

Responsibilities include drawing maps, conducting land surveys, and delivering technical support for varied construction initiatives. A pathway to civilian careers exists through focused MOS training.

Qualifications

• Enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Draw topographic maps and charts using CAD systems.
• Conduct geodetic and construction surveys using survey instruments and GPS tech.
• Provide technical support for vertical and horizontal construction projects.
