The Army National Guard seeks a Technical Engineer to help build, plan, and repair airstrips, docks, barracks, roads, and other projects. You will train in site development, surveying, drafting, and creating construction plans and specifications.

Training covers topographic mapping, geodetic surveys, and CAD drafting, with civilian career prospects in construction or government work. You’ll earn a paycheck during training and may qualify for tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Age 17–35.
• Pass a physical exam and meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Draw topographic maps and charts using CAD.
• Conduct geodetic and construction surveys.
• Provide technical support for construction projects.
