Job summary

B&A is seeking a Mid-level Technical Editor to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) CICADAS task order at Fort Meade, MD. The role focuses on editing intelligence products for grammar, clarity, and style, ensuring adherence to standards and vocabulary.

Applicants should have at least 8 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and an active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph. The position is contingent upon contract award.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in technical editing or related field with recent work.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph within the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Reviews intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, and syntax, and checks for logic and clarity.
• Ensures style and format conform to agency standards and vocabulary.
• Edits tables, tone boxes, and graphics to align with text.
• Ensures proper classification markings per IC guidance.
• Revises products with authors to improve narrative organization.
• Assists in managing CIC finished intelligence products for dissemination.
• Researches information from internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyzes and edits products for accuracy and compliance.
• Organizes information and presents content as planned.
• Documents operating instructions for government programs.
