Job summary

FedWriters, Inc. seeks a technically proficient Editor/Writer to polish congressional briefings, articles, and correspondence for the DIA's Office of Communication & Engagement. You will embed in a fast-paced, mission-driven team and ensure every word is accurate, polished, and on point.

On-site in Washington, DC, Monday–Friday 0800–1700, you will collaborate with writers, researchers, and visuals specialists, verify facts, and help translate complex content for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance.
• Experience in technical editing/writing in government/defense.
• Expert command of AP Style and government writing standards.
• Strong research to verify facts, dates, and sources.
• Ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Polish congressional briefings, articles, and correspondence.
• Collaborate with writers and visual information specialists to sharpen readability and tone.
• Ensure content follows AP Style and DIA guides for formal communications.
• Verify facts, dates, statistics, and sources for accuracy.
• Support social media content, web copy, and multimedia productions.
• Attend weekly team syncs and submit monthly project status reports.
