McMillen, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Editor to assist with all aspects of technical writing, including creating and maintaining documents, procedures, and processes for technical-writing activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Technical Communications, Journalism or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of technical editor experience preferred.
• Knowledge of grammar, technical formats, general business writing, and technical writing/editing techniques, levels, and processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and ability to revise a wide range of documents.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate creation and distribution of project-related communications.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including plans, reports, and meeting notes.
• Edit and format engineering documents and other technical materials for clarity and consistency.
• Prepare Project Management Plan reports with the project manager for new projects.
• Proofread, revise, and edit technical documents to ensure clarity and adherence to standards.
• Provide tactful feedback to authors with varying levels of experience.
