Job summary

The Garrett Group seeks a Technical Editor/Information Manager for an upcoming contract at JCER in Las Vegas, NV. You will conduct routine assessments of deployment events and prerequisite training to support CCMD deployments, ensuring adherence to UJTs and the EMOE framework.

Responsibilities include developing policies, managing documents, coordinating with web developers, and maintaining the IMP, while ensuring compliant document handling across programs and partners.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in technical writing for evaluating or developing documentation such as plans, briefs, and evaluation products.
• Ability to review, proofread, and edit documentation ensuring grammar, punctuation, spelling, capitalization, and standard English usage.
• Experience in managing document preparation, coordination, archival processes, and ensuring policy compliance on format, tracking, and status.
• Capability in developing writing and editing policies, guidelines, and templates.
• Minimum five years of demonstrated relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Support data collections during evaluation planning, execution, and analysis.
• Assist in data reduction and transcription.
• Coordinate with web developers to ensure web applications are developed, documented, and current regarding content.
• Assist JCER leadership in identifying gaps in knowledge flow and storage.
• Develop briefings, talking papers, scripts, and other communication materials to ensure content and standardized processes are followed.
• Develop and maintain processes to standardize JCER file naming conventions, templates, and data with writing instructions, guides, and templates for various document types.
• Maintain the organization's information management plan (IMP) and codify information systems tools and procedures.
• Address information sharing and collaboration requirements with interorganizational agencies and partners, codify processes to share information with stakeholders.
• Codify RFI management procedures, address system recovery and outage mitigation procedures, and identify information assurance requirements.
