Job summary

KMRG, LLC is seeking a Technical Documentation Specialist to support the United States Capitol Police, Office of Information Systems, IRMD. You will prepare, edit, maintain, and publish technical documents, manuals, guides, and training materials while coordinating with subject matter experts and supporting document review workflows.

This hybrid role in Southwest Washington, DC 20003 requires strong writing and publishing skills, meticulous accuracy, and the ability to ensure government-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of technical writing and desktop publishing experience.
• Strong technical writing, editing, and desktop publishing skills.
• Experience coordinating with subject matter experts for technical accuracy.
• Ability to support document review, routing, publishing, and approvals.
• Experience with Document Workflow Systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit, and maintain technical documents, manuals, guides, training materials, reports, and procedural documentation.
• Review and update technical content to keep documents accurate and consistent.
• Organize and format technical information for clear publication and distribution.
• Support document publishing processes and final review-ready materials.
• Assist in revising internal procedural documentation as assigned.
• Maintain accurate document files and supporting materials through drafting and revision.
• Coordinate document review, routing, and required approvals.
• Interface with the Document Workflow System for sign-offs and status tracking.
• Incorporate approved comments and revisions into updated documents.
• Ensure consistency across related technical and procedural documents.
• Work with SMEs to gather, clarify, and validate technical information.
• Prepare documentation that is complete and ready for Government review.
