Actalent is seeking a Technical Director to lead the design of pet food and aqua feed extruders and related equipment. This role drives innovation from concept to delivery, guiding cross‑functional teams and shaping the R&D direction within a globally oriented organization.

The candidate will collaborate with process engineers, product developers, and international colleagues to develop efficient, reliable machinery. A strong emphasis on energy efficiency and product performance is expected.

Qualificações

• 15+ years of experience designing extruders or similar industrial equipment.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience using 3D CAD software, specifically Autodesk Inventor.
• Knowledge of metallurgy and heat treatments applied to mechanical components.
• Familiarity with fluids power systems (hydraulics & pneumatics).

Responsabilidades

• Design extruders and related equipment from concept to delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and CAD reports to guide decisions.
• Perform Finite Element Analysis to validate components.
• Lead R&D initiatives for new feed machinery technologies.
• Travel internationally up to 15% to collaborate with global teams.
