Job description

We are seeking a Technical Director to lead and define the next generation of our extrusion coating, laminating, and converting technologies. This role will replace a long‑tenured technical leader and offers a rare opportunity to shape the technical direction of a growing, customer‑focused manufacturer in the flexible packaging and graphic arts markets. This role will be on‑site in our Darien, WI facility.

This is not a maintenance role—this is a hands‑on technical leadership position responsible for driving innovation, solving complex customer challenges, and aligning materials, processes, and performance to win in the market.

What You’ll Own

• Technical leadership across extrusion coating, lamination, and coating processes
• Development and optimization of multi‑layer packaging structures
• Expertise and application of adhesive systems (solventless, solvent‑based, water‑based)
• Material selection and performance across substrates:
  • Polyolefins (PE, PP)
  • Polyester (PET)
  • Foil, paper, and specialty films
• Direct involvement in:
  • Customer technical support and problem‑solving
  • New product development and commercialization
  • Process optimization and troubleshooting on the plant floor

What You Bring

Deep hands‑on experience in at least one:

Proven ability to:
