Wake Forest University seeks a versatile events technician to oversee performances in Wait Chapel, Brendle Hall, The Welcome Center, and other campus venues. The role may serve as the main event contact or lead a crew to fulfill event needs; this is a theatrical and event-based position.
Responsibilities include coordinating personnel, managing technical execution (lighting, sound, AV, recording), and collaborating with the events team for significant events in Brendle or Wait spaces.
In coordination with the Brendle and Wait Associate Director, this role oversees events in Wait Chapel, Brendle Hall, The Welcome Center, and other campus venues. The individual may act as the main event contact or manage a crew to accomplish event needs. This is a theatrical and event-based position.
Coordinating event personnel, board operations, and stagehands; overseeing execution of events from a technical standpoint (lighting, sound, audiovisual, recording, stage management). For larger events, collaboration with the Associate Director for Wait and Brendle is required; for smaller events, independent operation is expected. Provide technical support for campus venues as needed and consult with the University events team for significant events in Brendle or Wait spaces. Additional tasks may be assigned by the Associate Director.

Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, use power tools, and operate sound and lighting equipment; lift 25–50 pounds; bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs, ladder, scaffold; walk and reach overhead.
