Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Stage Supervisor to oversee all aspects of event production at our Wichita venues. You will direct sound, lighting, video, and stage elements, coordinating crews and contractors to deliver seamless performances.

The role requires at least 5 years of related experience and supervisory skills, with a strong knowledge of theatrical systems, MS Office, and maintenance software. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel; maintenance software knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, supervise, and schedule all aspects of event production.
  • Advance production elements for performances and events.
  • Determine staffing levels, call structures, and sequencing.
  • Ensure infrastructure is restored post-event and document issues.
  • Create, review, and correct union timesheets for payroll.
  • Coordinate production activities with departments and contractors.
  • Enforce facility rules, policies, procedures.
  • Provide clear communication to other departments.
  • Oversee maintenance of lighting, sound, AV, stage equipment.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty when needed.
  • Train IATSE and internal staff in safety and operations.
  • Position to work across Legends Global facilities in Wichita.
  • Contribute to post-event evaluations and improve procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Summary

This position will oversee the stage and event production including but not limited to sound reinforcement, stage lighting, labor, and video presented in the venue during an event. This position is a creative and technical position that will assist in event-based production, and other related duties, including production points for each event.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Direct, supervises and schedules all aspects of event production, including but not limited to sound reinforcement, stage lighting, labor, and video presented in the venue during an event.
  • Stage Supervisor will advance all production elements of performances and events, including but not limited to assignment of stagehands and all stagecraft elements.
  • Determines appropriate staffing levels, call structures, and work sequencing to ensure safe, efficient, and contract-compliant operations.
  • Ensures venue infrastructure and theatrical systems are restored to operational standards following events; documents damage, deficiencies, or unusual wear.
  • Create, review, approve, and correct union timesheets, ensuring contractual and payroll accuracy.
  • Coordinate the Production activities with other departments and event-related contractors to assure facility readiness and smooth operation of events.
  • Implements and updates facility rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Provides clear, concise, and timely communication to other departments.
  • Oversees maintenance of the Theatrical Lighting, Sound, Audio Visual, Stage Production equipment and ensures safe operations of all those systems.
  • Serve as MOD (Manager on Duty) as required with special focus on theater load-ins, performances and loadouts.
  • Train IATSE members and internal staff in harness training, lighting, audio, fly rail, pit operation, etc.
  • Create and manage CyberKeys and access badges for events, ensuring appropriate access levels and security compliance.
  • Provide hands-on technical support as needed across all halls.
  • Assists Director of Operations with supervision of Engineers
  • Position requires the ability to work at all Legends Global facilities in Wichita.
  • Contributes to post-event evaluations and updates operational procedures to improve efficiency, safety, and consistency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global’s policies and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience
  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree (4-year) preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of theatrical performance systems.
  • Additional experience may be substituted for education.
  • Supervisory experience required.
Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member.
  • Requires ability to work flexible and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
