Job summary

Ann Taylor in New York seeks an experienced Technical Designer to support Senior TD and manage the sample development process for a product category.

You will generate computerized specification packages, maintain fit comments, and partner with QA, Merchandising, Design and Sourcing to ensure quality and timely delivery while upholding brand standards. The role requires travel to domestic and international offices as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years Technical Design experience in women’s apparel.
• Degree in MS/BS in Clothing or Textiles; AA/AAS or certification acceptable.
• Expertise in patternmaking, fit, grading, and garment construction across a single product category.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Design, and Sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Attend fittings and department meetings.
• Protect brand integrity through fit continuity and construction standards.
• Capture team feedback and execute fit comments accordingly.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
