Job summary

You will participate in live fittings, help build tech packs, and assist with overseas vendor communications to keep development on track and production calendars on schedule. This role offers broad exposure across multi-category womenswear.

Qualifications

• Education in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Apparel Production, or Patternmaking.
• 0–2 years of apparel technical design experience or relevant internships.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator).
• Understanding of garment construction, sewing operations, and knit/swim fabrics.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication for overseas factory correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Sample Preparation & Specing: measure samples vs tech pack specs and document discrepancies.
• Fit Session Support: assist during live fit sessions and take measurements and notes.
• Tech Pack Maintenance: build and update tech packs with POM, BOM, construction details and sketches.
• Vendor Correspondence: draft fit correction comments and share photos and charts with overseas factories.
• Sample Tracking: log and track samples to meet development and production calendars.

Job description

We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Assistant Technical Designer to join our technical design team. In this role, you will assist in supporting fit, pattern, and technical execution across all Women’s categories—including Wovens, Cut & Sew Knits, Sweaters, Tailored Outerwear, Bottoms, Denim, and Swimwear. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad multi-category experience, participate in live fittings, and learn end-to-end production development.

Key Responsibilities

• Sample Preparation & Specing: Measure all incoming development, pre-production, fit samples against tech pack specifications prior to fit sessions; document measurement discrepancies.
• Fit Session Support: Attend live fit sessions on fit models; assist with measuring, taking detailed notes, photographing fit calls, and prepping samples.
• Tech Pack Maintenance: Build and update tech packs in PLM/Excel, including point-of-measure (POM) specs, bill of materials (BOM), construction details, and sketch updates.
• Vendor Correspondence: Assist in drafting and sending clear fit correction comments, photos, and measurement charts to overseas vendors and factories.
• Sample Tracking: Log and track incoming and outgoing samples to ensure development and production calendar milestones are met on time.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Apparel Production, or Patternmaking.
• Experience: 0–2 years of experience in apparel technical design (relevant internships included).
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel emphasis), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator)
• Understanding of basic garment construction, sewing operations, stretch/fabric behavior (knits/swim), and flat spec measuring.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for daily overseas factory correspondence.
