Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in New York, NY is seeking a Technical Designer to join our team, bringing women's apparel concept to production with precise tech packs, BOMs, and fit analysis.

You will collaborate with Design, Product Development, and Manufacturing to ensure quality, fit, and brand consistency across collections, while coordinating with vendors and internal partners in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of Technical Design experience in apparel.
• Experience with women's apparel; outerwear or activewear preferred.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and CAD software.
• Strong garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit evaluation.
• Excellent attention to detail with precise measurement skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication; cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed tech packs with sketches, measurements, grading, and construction details.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), packaging, care labels, and related docs.
• Conduct fit sessions using live models and communicate revisions to vendors.
• Review prototypes and pre-production garments with pattern makers and manufacturers.
• Ensure samples meet quality, fit, and design intent before production.
• Identify construction challenges and propose manufacturability and cost-efficient solutions.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Production, and external partners.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure timelines and quality expectations are met.
• Leverage fabrics, trims, construction techniques to support development and execution.
• Promote consistency in garment performance, durability, and customer satisfaction.
