Job summary

KPG99 INC in New York seeks a seasoned Technical Designer to analyze and approve sleepwear garments, ensuring fit specifications align with quality standards and cost targets.

You will develop technical specs, communicate with vendors and factories, and supervise junior designers, delivering production-ready fits in collaboration with the Technical Services Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in technical design. Sleepwear experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate garments to develop correct fit specifications.
• Ensure products are developed consistently with fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications.
• Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections.
• Makes necessary adjustments with factories to ensure integrity of design-approved prototypes while monitoring quality and target price.
• Typically reports to Technical Services Manager.
• Typically directs Assistant or Associate Technical Designers.
