Dawson is seeking a Technical Designer for casual intimates and shapewear in New York City. This onsite, project-based contract role pays about $48.76 per hour.

The designer will drive fit from development to final specs, communicating with vendors and collaborating with Design to meet quality and cost targets. Candidates should have a fashion-focused degree and 5+ years of technical design experience in intimates or apparel, with strong know-how in garments fit, tech packs, and fit evaluations.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of technical design experience in intimates and/or apparel.
• Strong expertise in garment fit, technical specifications, fit evaluation, and tech packs.
• Open to new ways of working and proactive in identifying solutions to challenges.

Responsabilidades

• Execute the technical design process from development through final fit for casual intimates and shapewear.
• Analyze and evaluate garments to establish accurate fit specifications that meet established fit, comfort, and quality standards.
• Develop technical specifications and communicate fit comments, approvals, and corrections to vendors and factories.
• Partner with Design to ensure products align with design intent, manufacturing capabilities, quality standards, and target costs.
• Coordinate adjustments with factories while maintaining the integrity of approved prototypes and ensuring product quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment to support product development and resolve challenges.
