Job summary

Workwear Outfitters in Nashville, TN, seeks a skilled Technical Designer to translate design concepts into precise specs, BOMs, and 3D assets for development and production. You will collaborate with merchandising, product development, manufacturing, quality, and pattern teams to ensure fabric and trim choices meet targeted costs and fit.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of Technical Design experience, strong drawing and math skills, and proficiency with 3D design tools (Browzwear preferred)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in apparel manufacturing, product development or apparel design related field.
• 3–5 years work experience as a Technical Designer.
• Proficiency with 3D design tools (Browzwear preferred).
• Experience with PLM systems (Stride/WebPDM) and pattern tools (AccuMark/Gerber).
• Strong communication skills, including with overseas factories.

Responsibilities

• Interpret product design intent into technical specs, BOMs, sketches, and construction details.
• Collaborate with merchandising, product development, manufacturing, quality, and pattern teams.
• Evaluate fit and make recommendations to ensure cost targets and production feasibility.
• Develop and maintain tech packs and documentation across categories.
• Lead and influence design direction with clear visual and verbal communication.
