We are currently growing our support team at ClickHouse who provides excellent service to our customers around the world. We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our global Support Engineering team. This role involves a variety of tasks related to our customers both locally in EMEA and regionally across North America and APJ. It is a customer-facing role that includes interactions via chat, calls, Slack messages, and virtual meetings. Responsibilities include triaging support tickets, supporting the user community, assisting with pre- and post-sales activities, collaborating on technical POCs, and suggesting improvements to our support processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to contribute to our customer support excellence as our user base grows.

What you will be doing:
  1. Supporting and guiding ClickHouse users, customers, and prospects through cases, chat, Slack, community, and meetings.
  2. Developing solutions based on ClickHouse Cloud and open-source ClickHouse for sharing via documentation, blogs, meetups, webinars, and training.
  3. Collaborating with Support Services, Engineering, Go to Market, and Product Management teams to define user and customer requirements.
  4. Mentoring, training, and sharing knowledge with colleagues, users, and customers.
And of course:
  1. Delivering excellent customer service as a first-line technical engineer, providing professional responses within SLAs via ticketing, email, Slack, chat, and phone.
  2. Building strong, trusted relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners.
What you bring along:
  1. Technical expertise in ClickHouse open-source or Cloud, or related domains like SQL databases, OLAP, cloud-native SaaS, distributed systems.
  2. Previous experience as Support Engineer, Consultant, DBA, SRE, Solutions Engineer, Software Engineer, or Systems Engineer.
  3. Availability to provide high-quality 24x7 support in a distributed, global environment.
  4. Strong English communication skills and ability to work remotely with reliable connectivity.
  5. Teamwork mindset, global engagement, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Passion for building scalable, high-performing databases.
  7. Ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners.
  8. Self-driven, curious, and eager to learn and grow.
Bonus points:
  1. Experience with ClickHouse.
  2. Experience with OSS/open-source technologies as a user or contributor.
  3. Experience with cloud providers like Azure, GCP, or AWS.
  4. Experience with data pipelines such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, RabbitMQ, etc.
