Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a Senior Component Engineer in Phoenix to perform independent assessments of proposed parts against claims, develop side-by-side comparisons from drawings and specs, and analyze form/fit/function relative to installation context.

Responsibilities include quantifying differences that drive price deltas, writing technical narratives, and identifying alternate sources during market research. Hybrid work in Phoenix with benefits.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years in component engineering or related aerospace roles.
• Fluent with engineering drawings, specifications and technical data packs.
• Experience assessing part equivalence for source substitution or qualification.

What You Will Do

What You Will Bring

• Mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering degree, or equivalent hands-on experience
• 3+ years in component engineering, alternate sourcing, EPA/TDR development, should-cost, or value engineering in an aerospace hardware environment
• Fluent in engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data packages
• Experience assessing part equivalence for source substitution or qualification
• Familiarity with aerospace product families across commercial and defense platforms
• Clear technical writing for a compliance audience, not an engineering audience

Pay Range: $95,000 - $115,000 per year

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements: This role is considered a Hybrid position, based in Phoenix, AZ.

Travel Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required.

Citizenship Requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
