Job summary

Solotech Inc. is seeking a Technical Coordinator to plan event equipment logistics, manage reservations, and coordinate subrental activities.

You will collaborate with asset managers, project managers, and operations teams to ensure timely availability and transfers across regions. Ideal candidates have a DEC in audiovisual or related training, 2 years of live production inventory experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; PowerBI/SSRS experience and R2 system familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• College diploma (DEC) in audiovisual, performing arts or equivalent training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in live production inventory, warehouse, operations, or on-site live production roles preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; knowledge of PowerBI and SSRS reporting; familiarity with R2 inventory system.

Responsibilities

• Analyze equipment lists for site/regional/global availability and create reservations/transfers.
• Coordinate with global teams to move inventory by deadlines.
• Monitor orders for correct reservation and return dates and for shortages; provide solutions.
• Process subrental requests and communicate vendor quotes/pricing to stakeholders.
• Generate purchase orders for confirmed subrental equipment and plan prompt returns.

Reporting to the Manager, The Technical Coordinator is responsible for planning event equipment logistics, reservations, internal transfers, support, and subrentals.

Your day will look like this:

• Analyze equipment lists for site/regional/global availability within R2 inventory system to create reservations and transfers.
• Work with global coordination and global warehouse teams to move inventory by deadline.
• Work with global coordination teams to revise regional/global inventory planning as neccessary.
• Discuss equipment availability with asset managers, department directors, project managers, department managers, project managers, and operations teams.
• Routinely monitor orders for correct reservation and return dates.
• Routinely monitor orders for inventory shortages and provide solutions as necessary.
• Carry out subrental requests and communicate vendor quotes/pricing to relevant parties.
• Generate purchase orders for confirmed subrental equipment.
• Plan and communicate the prompt return of subrental equipment.
• Support project management by planning support and/or add orders as necessary throughout all events.
• Carry out any other necessary tasks within the scope of this role.

Your profile:

• College diploma (DEC) in audiovisual, performing arts or any other equivalent training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a live production inventory technician, warehouse technician, operations technician, and/or on-site live production technician preferred.
• Knowledge of department equipment and major manufacturers.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, etc.)
• Experience with PowerBI and SSRS data reporting.
• Knowledge of the R2 inventory system preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot complicated inventory, logistical, and operational issues.
• Ability to adapt to last-minute gear planning revisions and design changes.
• Ability to work/communicate effectively with clients, crew, management, operations, and external vendors.
• Must be available to travel to events occasionally.
