Full-Time, 12-Month Support Staff Position with Benefits
Salary Range $56,000 - $70,000

Great Valley High School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Technical Coordinator to join its team. This role is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of student scheduling, master schedule development, data reporting, grading, new student enrollments and withdrawals. This role requires a self-motivated, highly detail-oriented, and technically proficient individual who is a quick learner, has strong interpersonal skills and is an effective communicator.

Responsibilities
  • Master Scheduling & Student Scheduling
    • Work collaboratively with school administrators, counselors, and department head to create a schedule that meets student and staff needs
    • Maintain and update the master schedule, including individual teacher and student schedules
    • Manage student scheduling processes, including course registration, section assignments, and schedule changes
    • Troubleshoot and resolve scheduling conflicts, ensuring compliance with academic policies
  • Grading and Report Cards
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the school’s grading system
    • Prepare and disseminate information to teachers regarding grading policies, deadlines, and procedures
    • Monitor grading processes, online gradebooks, and field teacher questions
    • Post report cards and generate honor roll, GPA, and failure reports
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for GPA-related inquiries
    • Update online gradebooks with grades for new students.
  • Database Management and Reporting
    • Ensure data accuracy in scheduling, grading, and student enrollment processes
    • Provide support and training on systems used for scheduling and grading
    • Generate reports when requested by administrators, counselors, and teachers
    • Collaborate with database specialist on PIMS data
Qualifications

  • Strong technical proficiency

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, administrators, and district personnel
  • Strong organization, time-management and communication skills
Preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with student information systems and database management
  • Experience in a high school education setting, particularly in scheduling or data management
  • Knowledge of school scheduling principles, credit requirements, and academic policies
