Job summary

United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund – Office of Investment Management in New York seeks a Project/Program Manager consultant to drive end-to-end procurement and governance workstreams for a major initiative.

You will produce process maps, RFI/RFP documents, vendor evaluations, business cases, dashboards, and a comprehensive PM framework, ensuring timely delivery and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• Experience in project and program management within complex environments.
• Ability to write technical and functional procurement requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication for governance deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Produce a process mapping workflow detailing requirements and future-state workflows.
• Write up and launch RFIs and follow up for RFPs with criteria and documentation.
• Deliver executive status reports, board presentations, and minutes.
• Create KPIs, dashboards, benefits tracking, and risk/issue reports.
• Develop project governance framework, lifecycle, templates and roles.
• Coordinate go-live plans, UAT plans, deployment checklists, and handover.
• Prepare final project closure report with lessons learned.

During the assignment the Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the following items: 1. A Process mapping workflow detailing technical requirements, process maps and future-state workflows. 2. Write up and launch the Request for Information with detailed requirements, and follow up for the RFP, with technical and functional criteria and provide the following documentation: a. Vendor evaluation framework. b. Vendor comparison matrix. c. Recommendation report with scoring methodology. d. Business case and cost-benefit analysis. e. Procurement evaluation report. 3. Deliver the following over the course of the project: a. executive status reports, b. project board presentations and minutes, c. KPIs and adoption dashboards, d. benefits realization tracking, e. risk and issue reports 4. A documented project and program management framework, including governance structure, project lifecycle, templates, workflows, reporting standards, roles and responsibilities, and tool administration procedures. 5. Work with the vendor for go-live plan, UAT test plan, and deployment checklist, as well as after go-live checks. 6. A standard operating procedure document. 7. Project closure report filled in with lessons learned report, knowledge transfer documentation and operational support handover as well as final acceptance and sign-off.
